ROOF INSURANCE MADE SIMPLE

The insurance process is confusing by design. We've walked many DFW homeowners through the process and can help save time — often at zero out-of-pocket cost beyond the deductible.

WE HANDLE THE HARD PART

WE KNOW THE INSURANCE PROCESS

Most homeowners don't know what they're entitled to — and insurance companies count on that. When you work with 220Eight, you have a contractor in your corner who understands how adjusters evaluate damage, what documentation they need, and how to make sure nothing gets left off your claim. We don't just fix roofs. We advocate for our customers — being on-site during your adjuster visit, reviewing the estimate with you, and pushing back if something is missed or undervalued.

WHAT WE FIGHT FOR

WHAT YOUR CLAIM SHOULD COVER

A complete storm damage claim covers more than just shingles. Make sure these are included.

FULL ROOF RELACEMENT

If damage is widespread, your policy should cover a complete tear-off and replacement — not just spot repairs.

GUTTERS & DOWNPUTS

Hail that damages shingles almost always damages gutters too. These should be included in your claim.

INTERIOR WATER DAMAGE

If storm damage led to interior leaks, document those as well — they may be covered under your policy.

FLASHING & VENTS

Metal flashing, ridge caps, pipe boots, and roof vents are all claimable when damaged by storm.

DECKING REPAIRS

If the decking beneath the shingles is damaged or rotted from water intrusion, that repair should be covered too.

STEP BY STEP

We walk you through every step so you're never in the dark.

We inspect your roof and document all damage with detailed photos and notes. This becomes the foundation of your claim.

01

Adjuster Visit — We're There

We meet your insurance adjuster on-site, walk the roof with them, and present our documentation. Having a contractor present dramatically improves claim outcomes.

03

You File the Claim

You contact your insurance company to open a claim. We'll tell you exactly what to say and what information to have ready.

02

Review the Estimate

We review the adjuster's estimate with you line by line. If anything is missing or undervalued, we request a supplement or re-inspection.

04

Claim Approved — We Schedule the Work

Once your claim is approved, we schedule quickly and complete the job in 1-2 days. You pay your deductible; insurance handles the rest.

COMMON QUESTIONS

INSURANCE FAQS

  • A denial isn't always final. We can review your adjuster's report, gather additional documentation, and request a re-inspection. Many denied claims are successfully reopened.

  • Most claims are processed within 2-4 weeks from inspection to approval. We stay in contact throughout and follow up with your insurance company on your behalf.

  • In most cases, no. A knowledgeable roofing contractor who understands the claims process can advocate effectively on your behalf without the additional cost.

  • Yes. Your insurance company pays the claim — you choose who does the work. You are never required to use a contractor your insurance recommends.

  • ACV pays the depreciated value of your roof; RCV pays the full cost to replace it. We'll explain which you have and what to expect from your payout.
